If you have faced with a problem of choosing your background in a plenty of variants, then of cause, you just need some time to select what you like most: picture of nature, image of your favorite celebrities, picture of cars or maybe a poster with your favorite film or music artist. But if you were searching for something unique and want it not to strain your eyes, then you have not so many variants as before: you can select one colored background or Abstract Background. But if these variants are too simple for you than transform them to a marble one with assist of this column.

So let us start our tutorial helping to create unique background picture. For a general example we will create a new file in Photoshop and then transform it to a marble one. Like basic equipment we will use Adobe Photoshop program, so make sure you have it on your PC.

So first choose in the “File” menu “Create new” and set characteristics for example as 1200 of height and 900 of width. For the first or foreground color choose white and for the second (background) color select black. Then go to the “Contest” menu and there in the “Background color” set resolution value at 200 dpi.

Next step - go to the “Filter” menu then in “Render” and click on “Different Clouds” button as many times as you need for your image. You can not control the pattern, because it is automatic Photoshop action, so be careful when clicking a button again and again.

So with a previous action you have created a marble texture so after this your need to do such action as “Equalize the outline”. To do this you have to go to the menu “Image” then select there “Adjustments” and click on “Equalize”.

Then all actions are up on only your choice because you just need to select the level of brightness and set the feature of contrast, and then to choose your Background Colors. The level of Brightness you can control in CS versions visiting the “Image” menu, go to “Adjustments” and there push on the “Shadow/Highlight”. In 5.0 and 7.0 editions you need to use “Image” menu, go to “Adjust” and click on “Brightness/Contrast”. To provide some color to your image go to “Image” then to “Adjust” and to the “Color Balance”.

To finish your marble background go to “Filter”, then to “Sharpen”, choose “Sharpen more” and their also click on “Sharpen Edges”. And you did it, now you own your personal marble background done in Photoshop.

Remember that with help of this technique you can also transform to a marble variant all pictures you want, for this instead of the first step in the “File” menu choose “Open file” and do everything by this tutorial.
